Acne Spring/Summer 2010

Acne's s/s 10 collection was a soft pallet of creams and grays paired with metalics. a lovely combination in my opinion. i absolutely love the floor lengths dresses; a must have item for the upcoming s/s season.

BRAVO.

Today at Paris Fashion week, Alexander McQueen's final line ( of his creation) was shown. What a true visionary. These sixteen garments shown ( only 80% of what McQueen intended to show) were the most breath taking pieces of art. Fashion was redefined by the late Alexander. He had so much to say, and was heard. Heard by all of us who looked at his shows as hope for a world of fashion that knew no bounds. A world of pure expression and chaotic lovely things. His garments empowered people; made them stand apart from the crowd. Alexander McQueen will be deeply missed. His impact on fashion was immense. we love you, Alexander. Rest in peace.View the collection here:

Chloe Spring summer 2010 Runway

CHLOE was absolutely gorgeous this season! i loved the neutral pallet that weaved through out the entire collection. i also loved the sandals... might even look into getting a pair for myself for the upcoming summer months.

the floor length skirts were so lovely.

if there is one thing that stands out to me most about this collection, it is the sense of tailored comfort. everything is structured beautifully, but it is done in such an elegant way.

mostly everything in this collection was an iconic piece that can be worn time and time again. that's what so wonderful about Chole; it is not that their clothes are generic they are timeless. they are the garments that never leave your closet because they don't have to.

Balmain spring 2010 runway video (full)

Balmain delivered a stunning line of military inspired garments that came in all varieties. from distresses, leather, hand-beaded sequin, and lace, this cohesive line was a huge success for Cristoph.

PS. Excuse lack of post! busy week, but I'm back on it now.
